Confident. Beautiful.

This was a step out of my comfort zone. My favorite thing to photograph is family, whether that is an engagement session that is the beginning of your family or a family of 5 cuddling on a blanket in a field. I love the whole dynamic of family. But as a mom, I know it’s hard to feel good about yourself when you are sitting in yoga pants and your hair in a greasy top knot while you are wiping snot off of a 2 year old’s face. So, as I started to think about what to offer for Valentine’s Day, I thought that a simple boudoir session for women would be the perfect fit, even though it was out side of my norm. I wanted to make these women feel beautiful, no matter what their stage in life. This could have been a gift for a husband but it could have also been a gift to make them feel beautiful for themselves and that’s enough. I hope each one of these gorgeous ladies came away from the session feeling confident and beautiful, because that’s the way I saw them.

The first day of sessions I had {N} and {S} These sessions were in my old bedroom at my parents house. I wanted to give a feel of being at home. I loved the way they turn out. I want to thank Ariel Jarrell for doing hair and makeup for us that day. We had so much fun!

The second day of sessions was held a couple weeks later. I had a full line up of wonderful ladies that day. A big shout out to Kaitlyn Davis for hair and makeup and for setting me up for some pretty awesome lash extensions. But that’s another post for another day. We had {H}, {T}, & {L} These sessions were in my studio in Delbarton. It turned out that I couldn’t get my parent’s house set up for my second day, but I still love how the studio ones turned out.

These wonderful women gave me permission to share some of their images. I hope you all enjoy them and I will be offering these again soon. ~LC
